Today is the final day of the Supervised Work Experience
Program Webinar Series, which featured three resource speakers who provided
critical thinking, global citizenship and interpersonal skills. The webinar
focused on career, skills and life essentials that are necessary to know in
order to aid us when we face problems in an actual or real work scenario. The
first resource speaker Ms. Maridel Gonzales discussed about how critical
thinking is essential for professional success in all disciplines. She stated
that critical thinking is concerned with the careful interpretation of data and
the application of that data to obtain a practical conclusion. This topic
showed us that critical thinking skills provide a number of skills that can be
used in any circumstance when thought, analysis, and planning are required. However, the second resource speaker
Mr. Paolo Segura tackle about Global citizenship that young people must be
adaptable, creative, and proactive in order to be effective Global Citizens.
They must be able to solve issues, make decisions, think critically,
effectively express ideas, and work successfully in groups and teams. These
qualities and skills are being more recognized as necessary for success in
various aspects of 21st-century life, including many workplaces. These
abilities and attributes cannot be developed without the use of active learning
methods, in which students learn by doing and working together. Which I
realized that I need to work hard and be responsible and not just a citizen but
having a purpose and meaningful life. For the last resource speaker Mr.
Golderick Ambas his topic is not just important but very powerful and inspiring
because at the very young age he achieved so many things that at that age of 23
he earned his first million. He also stated that being poor is not a hindrance
for us to become successful person because himself experience poverty during
his life at elementary, high school even colleges. However the highlights of
his topic is how can we develop our interpersonal skills that he quoted that we
can only develop our skill by starting a relationship with our self, family and
the people around you and having a self-value. But all over thing this webinar
had help so much as student attaining new knowledge, experience and skills that
can supplement or complement to our main field of study.
